How do you help your people stay motivated and enthusiastic about the future after a year of working from home? For caterer Compass Group the hybrid Reconnect event turned out to be the ideal recipe. This is how we cooked it up.
Hybrid event with positive message
2020 was a year packed with challenges for Compass Group too. The caterer rose to them all and now looks to what the future will bring with confidence. We served up this positive message to employees during the Reconnect event. Compass took the opportunity to announce new initiatives in five streams: People, Food, Labour, Recommerce and Tomorrow.
We took on full event organisation and communication duties.
Communicating with a consistent house style
We created an attractive look for all Reconnect-oriented print and online communication. That included a new logo with versions for each stream and an invitation packed in a box, sent to the home address of every employee. The accompanying leaflet gave them a sneak preview of what they could expect at the event. We also sent out emails (including save the date and reminders) and developed a dedicated event registration page.
Live from the kitchen
The event was streamed live from the Gourmet Invest kitchen in Eke. Our teams had prepared everything – the technical aspects (camera, lighting, sound) and the content – down to the last detail. We collaborated on the script and took care of the scenario and direction during the shoot. That allowed host Sabine Goethals to discuss the reconnect project with her guests and smoothly switch between video and interview. A top-notch production for a full-flavoured event.
